Description

The front of this lovely brooch depicts a large spray of lily the valley flowers, each accented with glittering rose cut diamonds. On the reverse there is an oval compartment for hair or a photo. The pin stem and frame both test as 15 karat gold.  

Symbolism: In the Victorian language of flowers, lily of the valley are symbolic of the return to happiness and the promise to one day be reunited with loved ones.



Measurements: 1 3/4"x 1 5/16"

Weight: 21.9 grams 

Period: Victorian, c1880 

Diamonds: 17 rose cut diamonds, approximately 1 carat total weight, largest measures 3.97 mm

Condition notes: very good condition, one circular 2 mm enamel repair to the onyx, located on the outer edge of the onyx under the spray. Please see photos.
