Description

This spectacular brooch was hand fabricated by William Wise & Son Jewelers of Brooklyn, New York some time around 1920. The craftsmanship in this piece is truly remarkable. The enamel and platinum frame contains four stylized flowers with single-cut diamond petals surrounding two carved jadeites and two emerald cabochons. The brooch features a platinum safety catch with a 14 karat gold pin stem. 

The jadeite has been professionally tested as natural, untreated jade by Mason Kay Fine Jewelry. I will include the authenticity report with the purchase of this brooch. 

Jade cabochons: 9.50 x 6.25 x 1.70mm 

Diamonds: Single-cut approximately .50 total carat weight, clarity VS1 - VS2, color H-I-J 

Emerald cabochons: .010 - .015 carats each 

Weight: 9 grams 

Measurements: 1 3/4" x 7/8" 

Condition notes: Very minor wear to the enamel
