Dating to the turn of the last century, this beautiful brooch is blooming with glowing demantoids and sparkling diamonds, finished with a sparkling rose cut diamond lined bow. Precious.
Demantoids: 5.01 carats total weight, some minor facet wear can be seen with a 10X loupe. Beautiful horsetail inclusions.
Diamonds: large old mine cut estimated 1.3 carats I2 clarity, I-J range in color. Smaller old mine cut diamonds estimated .90 total carats bright and eye clean.
Measurements: 3 1/8” long x 1 1/2” wide
Weight: 16.4 grams
Metal: silver over low karat gold (9 - 10k)
Notes: There is a small solder repair behind the top demantoid. It’s likely that the large old mine cut diamond is a replacement.
