Dating to the first or second decade of the twentieth century, this striking navette shaped locket brooch has been finely crafted in platinum. A fluted black onyx plaque is set to the center with a gleaming 1.35 carat old mine-cut diamond, nestled between two lustrous pearls and framed in a lacy platinum border, glittering with rose-cut and European-cut accent diamonds. The reverse contains a covered locket compartment holding an enamel portrait of a man. A striking piece.
