This opulent antique necklace, c 1890, is composed of a graduated line of diamond set tulip fringe links punctuated by diamond set box links. Crowning the fanciful fringe is a stylized leaf containing a 1.28 carat cushion cut diamond that suspends a lacy oval pendant containing a vibrant, gemmy green 3.5 carat Colombian emerald (minor clarity enhancement certified by C. Dunaigre, Switzerland), encircled by a mix of eight old mine-cut diamonds. Intricately hand fabricated in darkened silver over gold, this captivating antique jewel contains an estimated 33.85 total carats.
