Late 19th C Moonstone and Diamond Man in the Moon Brooch


This is a stunning late 19th century diamond brooch with a twist. This whimsical piece features five modern "man in the moon" moonstone faces, mounted in open claw settings surrounded by approximately 3.80 carats of rose-cut and cushion-cut diamonds. The rose-cut diamonds are foiled with a closed back setting, the cushion-cuts have an open back. The brooch is nicely crafted in silver topped gold. 

Moonstones: largest 10 mm wide, smallest 6 mm wide

Diamonds: 3.80 total carat weight (approximately) due to the nature of the setting color and clarity can not be assessed accurately.
