Who couldn't use a wise, bejeweled turtle to remind you that slow and steady wins the race. This whimsical clip has been masterfully hand-fabricated in platinum and 18k rose gold, c 1940. Five vibrant rows of synthetic blue sapphires adorn the shell like a miniature stained glass window. The head, feet and tail are aglitter with twinkling old single cut, table cut and rose cut diamonds, the eyes embellished with tiny synthetic rubies. On the underside you can see the gentle dome of the shell is supported with a hand fabricated honeycomb frame, truly a tiny work of art from all angles. Simply delightful.
