Vintage 1 Carat Asscher Cut Diamond Engagement Ring - GIA

A square, step-cut diamond has a simple charm to it which an Asscher-cut aims to expand and improve upon. By flattening the corners of the square diamond, and adding a series of extra cut, the lapidary sacrifices an extra 15% of the diamond just to achieve the desired look. The Asscher-cut achieves the image of strength through its usage of perfect symmetry and the diamond, being a ideal medium, is able to portray this in exquisite style.

Beautifully modeled in 18k gold, a scintillating 1 carat asscher-cut diamond is presented between a pair of gleaming old trillion-cut diamonds. Currently a ring size 4.5. Accompanied by a GIA report stating VS2 clarity and F color.
