Description

This exceptional Georgian ring centers around a radiant ruby in a crimped gold collet surrounded by a shimmering halo of ten table-cut diamonds. The setting features stylized cornucopia on the shoulders (symbolic of abundance) each sprouting a tiny diamond rosette. This style of band and the fluted closed back setting was typical of the second half of the 18th century in Western Europe. 

Truly a rare and lovely ring.



Size: 6 3/4

Metal: 18 karat gold and silver

Measurements: head of the ring measures 10.25mm x 11.70 mm 

Ruby: 5.40 mm x 4.14 mm

Condition notes: There are a few places on the back of the where solder can be seen. One of the diamond rosettes has been replaced.
