Antique French Opal Dormeuse Sleeper Earrings

Dating to the late 19th-century France, these delightful dormeuses showcase vibrant opal cabochons alive with flashes of neon green, bubblegum pink and Sunkist orange, enlivened by washes of iridescent yellow that create a mesmerizing play of color. Set in 18k rose gold, the cabochons are elegantly cradled in slender fleur-de-lis prongs, featuring the original back to front closures and a closed back.

Markings: French horse head hallmark (1838 - 1919) 

Notes: Opals are replacements for heavily worn stones. One prong was rebuilt.
