Antique 18th C Peridot and Diamond Ring

$1,700.00

This sweet 18th century ring sparkles with tiny rose cut diamond flower sprays surrounding a peridot. The diamonds are set in silver with closed backs to enhance the whiteness in the stones and the peridot is mounted in a gold bezel with a closed back. The shank is tests as 18 karat gold and features beautiful remnants of green enamel inlay on the shoulders. The inside of the ring displays a decorative hand carved openwork design. Truly a treasure. Currently a size 5.25.

Dimensions: 7/8” north to south, 9/16” east to west

Peridot: 7mm

Weight: 5.8 grams

Condition notes: This ring has been well loved and therefor shows the years of wear. A “leaf” accent is missing from one shoulder, it’s possible that the entire ribbed shank was once enameled, the stones show lots of wear and there are two thin split in the gold surrounding the rivet located on the underside of the ring. The ring is still structurally sound and can be worn without concern.
