French 1940's Retro Ruby and Diamond Tank Ring - 1.78 Carats

Dating to the 1940s France, this chic Retro tank ring is artfully sculpted in platinum and 18k yellow gold. At the center sits a bold 1.75 carat old mine-cut diamond displaying a captivating kozibe effect. A vibrant band channel-set rubies in 18k gold sweeps through the center of the ring, adding color and movement. A truly exceptional, one of a kind ring.

Diamond: estimated 1.78 carats (7.36 x 7.36 x 5.19mm), VS2 clarity with L-M range in color but faces up white, very tiny chip on the girdle that can be seen under magnification. Bright and prismatic with chunky facets and wonderful kozibe effect.

Calibre synthetic rubies: 6, estimated 1 carat. One is slightly rotated, two show small chips that can be seen under magnification, and all have minor surface wear under magnification consistent with age and use.
