This endearing early Edwardian brooch has been expertly hand-fabricated using 18 karat gold, enamel and rose-cut diamonds. The bird is colored with both opaque and transparent enamels, giving the feathers texture and a realistic appearance.

Markings: "ETAL" in a rectangular cartouche, "750" in a scalloped cartouche, Dutch hallmark for used articles, added at a later date
