The domed cover of this charming Etruscan Revival locket is adorned with a raised spray decoration, set with glittering rose-cut diamonds and rubies within a delicate twisted wire border. The interior contains a small covered compartment (roughly 23 mm x 18mm) for a lock hair or a photo. The reverse is hand engraved “M to L, Nov. 12 1862”. Beautifully rendered in a patinated 18K gold. Truly a lovely Victorian keepsake.
