This pristine 18th century pendant centers on a round faceted amethyst mounted in a cutdown collet surrounded by sixteen glowing hessonite garnets in rubbed-over collet settings. The gilt silver openwork is truly charming with the use of tiny detailed leaves and scrolling tendrils. The reverse displays engraved pillow back settings and two tiny hinges. A rare and wonderful piece of history.
