This late Edwardian to early Art Deco ring showcases a richly saturated 7.50 carat octagonal-cut natural purple-pink spinel, set within a border of approximately 1.65 carats of sparkling old cut diamonds in a 14K gold mounting. A closer look and reveals the spinel is secured by distinctive rectangular tab prongs rather than traditional claws, complementing the geometric lines of the octagonal cut. The spinel displays a captivating interplay of raspberry, orchid, and plum hues, with the exceptional brilliance and crystalline transparency that make fine spinels so highly prized. The natural gem is accompanied by a GIA report confirming that it shows no indications of heating. Currently a ring size 6¾.
