Measuring an impressive 1 1/4" long, this dazzling antique diamond navette ring showcases an enchanting assortment of 3.5 carats of old mine cut diamonds in a symphony of hues - soft sunshiny yellow, faint pink champagne, light golden brown, honey and brilliant white.
At the center of the navette, a pair of antique pear-shaped diamonds is elegantly divided by two chunky cushion-cut diamonds. The border is sprinkled with an assortment of old mine, single and full-cut diamonds which catch and scatter light with every movement, creating a magical dance of brilliance and fire.
Hand fabricated in silver-topped 14 karat gold, the ring is finished with decorative piercing and fine millegrain edging. Currently a ring size 7/4. Circa 1890
Measurements: 1 1/4" X 1/2" wide, sits approximately 1/4" off of the finger at the highest point
Weight: 5.7 grams
Markings: none
Notes: The diamonds with a hint of yellow or brown in their body color appear more pronounced in sunlight, which enhances warm tones. One cushion-cut diamond in the center exhibits a strong blue fluorescence which reacts to UV rays in sunlight, creating a more pronounced pinkish effect in sunlight. I have shown the ring in two lighting conditions to highlight how its appearance changes based on the light source.
