A gem-quality pearl forms naturally in only about 1 out of 10,000 Pinctada oysters. This rare oyster must be sought in the open ocean by a highly skilled and patient pearl diver.
This 16" necklace contains ten natural pearls and one cultured pearl, sourced from the remnants of an Art Deco era necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels. The pearls have been elegantly stationed on a modern 14 karat white gold cable chain. The near-round white saltwater pearls range in size from 3.10 - 3.52 mm in diameter. Accompanied by GIA Certificate stating ten natural saltwater pearls, Pinctada species, untreated, white body color with no overtone, orient (iridescent rainbow).
